I bought this small pocket tool at the local Ace Hardware store. I had been looking for the Swiss made one, but have not found them anywhere in town. So when I saw this one for $16 I bought it right away. It is well made, and the locks are great. The locks hold well and need to be deliberately disengaged. I have used it for a few jobs over the past few weeks and it seems to be holding up well. It is becoming loose, so I would not use it on a keyring. But it really is large to be carried every day. This would go well in a bag. Clipped on a ring in the bag so that the tool is always available but not lost at the bottom of a pocket. It is not heavy, but it is solid steel so it is not light either. We took a look at the light that was supplied with the short pruduction run LWRC - CSAT Editions. Combat Shooting and Tactics. This is an LED light with a max 120 lumen light with three settings (.3 lumens, 10 lumens and 120 lumens). The NovaTac 120T uses just one CR123 battery. This compact is just 3.3 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. The NovaTac 120T weighs just 3.1 ounces with a CR123 battery

We noticed some low prices on gear at the local big box store. We took a look at the prices at the store compared to the sugested retail price from the manufacturer, and then we compared the big box store price to online stores and online auctions. Supprizingly, the Auctions were not always the lowest prices, and some of the prices at the local store beat the online purchase options. What this small experiment tells us is there is no best place to buy gear. Prices do fluctuate and for the money you might save it's worth looking around before you put money down.

We had a chance to test this new version of the Surefire Pen. The SureFire Pen II is a great pen. It is solid, well made and writes every time. The button to extend the writing tip clicks into place silently. The all aluminum body is strong enough to use as a defensive tool if necessary

After two months of daily pocket carry on a set of keys the Photon Freedom Micro is standing up very well. There are no obvious wear marks on the light, and the desert camouflage paint job is not worn or scratched. I looped a length of black 550 cord to tether the LED light to my keys so it is easy to remove and use separately and the cord is long enough to use the light while the keys are in the ignition of the vehicle or in a door lock

Surefire M500A Dedicated AR15 Forend WeaponLight has both a 9-volt shock-isolated incandescent lamp and dual low-output navigation light. The LED navigation lights are activated by a momentary-on pressure pad. The 125 lumen main light is controled by a constant-on rocker switch (left side), a momentary-on pressure pad switch (right side), and a system disable rotary switch (rear of battery housing) to lock the light in the OFF position. The M500A uses three lithium SF123 batteries.
